And it's true.
You can never go back to a place that never really was,
to a place that never really existed in the first place.

And beyond the crumbling concrete
and the chipped and smeared and fading spray paint
weeds and rubbish still have the nerve to thrive.

And are you the same person
you imagined you would become
back when you were addicted 
to the taste of your own laughter.

And do you still believe in the same lies,
the fairy tales, the fables and the legends,
that gave you courage when you were young?



It's never about happily ever after, it's all about the beginnings.


All the greatest love stories begin with heart break.
But it's how the heroine handles the heart ache
that determines whether the reader
wants to actually make a commitment to read her story.
